Affordable Waldorf Toys

In Waldorf education, one of the most important elements is the quality of toys. When researching and finding toys it can get expensive quickly. The quality of the toy is important but if you are like me and am slowly redoing your play space for your little ones you know that saving some money along the way helps. With the holidays approaching, today, I am sharing affordable Waldorf toys that my children love and adore. Of course, this year they will be receiving some of these toys in their stocking. But I know they will love and cherish them for many years.

Big Toys

These toys help develop imagination for play such as store, house, etc. I wish I could get the Waldorf shelves as they are beautiful and would last forever. But for now, these will do as I do not have the space or the extra money to put into them.

I chose these two tents for our play space as I feel they will give them a small space to help expand their imagination. They are comforting and pretty as well. Every play space needs a kitchen. Children mimic us and a play kitchen is a wonderful way for them to copy us parents as we cook. To go with the play kitchen a small table works too. But it can be used for more as well, for crafts, games, etc.

Wooden Toys

In Waldorf education, wooden toys are the main source. Natural materials are comforting to not only the eye but to the touch as well. Below I will share our favorite wooden toys, some will go with the kitchen set. I have found these are the most affordable Waldorf toys I could find.

Soft Toys

These set of toys are soft toys from natural materials as well. These also help the child’s imagination and creativity with play.

Books

For books I have plenty of lists you can check out here that are quality stories. I will also share some of my favorite Waldorf books that helped me understand better about the quality of toys.
