Happy Autumn folks! Oh, this is my favorite time of year and I am so thrilled to share with you today what is in our autumn morning basket for our homeschool! When I started homeschooling 6 years ago (how we are here I do not know) I used morning basket but by years 2 and 3, we just stopped doing it. I did not find the need for it but now that I have another kindergartner I found we did need it again. We use the morning basket mainly for circle time for my little ones! So today I am sharing with you what our autumn morning basket looks like this year!

Books
Our autumn morning basket is mostly filled with books. Whether they are poetry books, reference books, or picture books we use them every day. We are taking a Waldorf approach to my kindergartner’s curriculum and circle time is so important, along with the songs and stories. Most of these are Waldorf books.
Songs, Meditation, Calendar
To go along in our autumn morning basket we do Waldorf songs along with daily calendar and meditation. I have found starting our circle time with songs helps us with the rhythm of our day. I have been using Tiny Acorn Atlier’s Autumn Circle Time cards along with other songs I have made up to help us learn the days of the week. For our calendar, we use the wooden one below and for meditation the Mindful Kids cards.
I would love to know, do you use a morning basket? If so, what’s in yours?
