Unfinished Wooden Peg Dolls
So, my first gift is one of our favorite toys that we have. We use them for art projects, story-telling, and even in math lessons. My kids love these so much. We bought the unfinished wooden peg dolls so the kids could create them to look like whatever they wanted. My husband did paint some solid colors for color recognition. These are so much fun with endless possibilities.
Telescope
For my oldest, he loves learning about the Solar System. For his birthday he asked for a telescope. I found this one that is for children, specifically. He loves it so much. He has seen, in detail, stars and the moon. It is so lightweight and perfect for little ones. If you are not ready to purchase a telescope that sees the full spectrum of outer space, I highly recommend this one.
Money Bags: The Game
So, every year we try to buy board games for Christmas. It’s one of our favorite things to do as a family together. Earlier this year, I bought Money Bags because my children were struggling with counting money. This game changed that. It is so much fun to play and my kids are always excited when we play it.
Alphabet and Letter Puzzles
Okay, for those who are homeschooling little ones, these were a lifesaver for when I was homeschooling preschool. He is now in 1st grade and we will use them sometimes for other activities we are doing. I use them mostly for my 2-year-old, now. She loves them just as well. I picked these puzzles because they are easy to hold along with the math symbols. It grows with them and that is always worth it, in my opinion. It is one of the best toys for homeschool.
National Geographic Dig Kits
Dig kits are so much fun! My kids love them because they can get messy and find treasure all at the same time. We have done a bunch of them, from shark teeth to geodes. I always order these when we need to change something up and they never complain. Even my 2-year-old likes to “help” them.
Fujifilm Instax Mini Instant Camera
My 11-year-old asked for this for Christmas this year. We were hesitant but he has been showing interest in photography along with loving to take pictures of our homeschool adventures. I thought this would be a fun way to include more memory keeping in our homeschool. Maybe we can now keep a yearbook for our homeschool. Sometimes on scavenger hunts, I let him use my phone to take pictures and I feel this will be way more fun.
I hope you enjoyed my ultimate homeschooler’s gift guide for 2020. These are some of the best homeschooling gifts one can ask for. What are you giving your children this year to help in their homeschool adventure?
