One of the number one questions I receive as a homeschooler is, “how are you going to teach math?” This question, as much as it makes me laugh, is a very serious one. The answer is research. I have done so much research, especially as my oldest is now entering middle school math. A+ Interactive Math by A+ Tutorsoft Inc was kind enough to allow us to try out their program for three months. Oh my, what an amazing change. I have so many wonderful words to say about this program. I am excited to share my full A+ Interactive Math curriculum review with you!
Disclaimer: A+ Tutorsoft Inc. gave me this curriculum for three months to try and review. All opinions I have expressed are my own.
Online Curriculum
Okay, so I am not going to lie, I am very traditional when it comes to our homeschool. I love books, paper, and pencils. But with this curriculum, it has completely changed my mind of computer learning. And in today’s world most know how to do their work on the computer, it’s becoming a necessity.
So, this curriculum, it’s completely online. You, the parent have a login, as does your child/children. With the family package, this curriculum allows up to 10 students on the same account. It contains 8 different grade levels, from first to sixth, Pre-algebra, and Algebra 1. They are taught the lesson and they complete the worksheets on their own login. On the parent’s login, you are able to check their progress through the summary report. I am able to see the package we have, the list of students, along with their grades, their login and password, and the choice to change their grades.
Independent Study
I homeschool two children, one of which is in 6th grade and the other is in 1st grade. I am always looking for independent work for my 6th grader so I can easily help my 1st grader. A+ Interactive Math curriculum allows for this to happen. It teaches the student in simple, detailed videos of how to complete the equations. The lessons are all listed out for the student to easily navigate through the site. Once the video is completed, the student can complete the Lesson Q&A and then the worksheet for that lesson. They then are able to take a test at the end of the unit. The best part it grades for the student, as well. I personally, love this feature. I am able to see how he did. If he didn’t do as well, he has the option to re-do the worksheet. There is also a curriculum e-book, which we have not had to use yet because of the detailed videos. But this is another option of learning if you need something more for your student.
Grades
Now, grading is my least favorite thing about homeschool. So, when I was told it grades for you I was so excited. You are able to check their progress reports on their worksheets and exams. It lists them out along with their final grade. This is perfect, especially if your state requires you to send in grades. It is so simple.

How did we like it?
I absolutely LOVE this program. It has filled in learning gaps for my 6th grader. He loves how easy it is to navigate and the independence he has gained from this curriculum. If you would like more information make sure to visit their site and their social media accounts below.
